Johnny's Last Blast Date: May 15th.

Post by Iggy »

We're expecting to spread John's ashes over the waters off Finlayson Point the evening of May 15th, (Thursday).
We'll have the area around the green gazebo roped off for our use.
There will be ceremonial fireworks at dusk.
Please keep the evening of May 15th free as it will be our last chance to give John a heartfelt goodbye!
The balance of funds will be going to the Graham Norris Fund.

Hi all.
I would think arrival time around 9:00 P.M. tonight will work, come earlier if you want to hang out, we expect to launch approximately 9:45/10:00 P.M.
Should be good parking right on the Clover Point.

Special thanks to Don McCauley of AFA Fireworks who donated hours of time & several trips down from Nanimo to plan and stage this event.
He charged a nominal $75. for fuel.

Yes..what i wonderful thing to do, that was huge...all the water men and women + all the parks people + plus other people that knew him and loved him..me thinks the angels were taking him home! for all of the logistics to work out just like that, amazing, very little wind, starlit sky, all of it..amazing, many thanks to all those that put it all together, perhaps it is an example of group consciousness ? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D , you know who those are for, it's time that all of us start smiling again..because that is what he would want.... cheers people!

I note it took until now to tie our buddy in this year's sailing sessions, his last being a wonderful thing judging by the pix. Cheers JR, miss your energy bud :P
