Windsurfing Summer Program for Nitinaht Kids

Post by SaltSpringKiterPeaceGuy »

Hi all,

I've been approached by a couple of people about doing a windsurfing program for Nitinaht Kids.

I'm really excited about this project for the summer. I've got some good ins which will really help promote the program, and best of all the gear is ready and waiting.

I am now looking for volunteers who would be interested in volunteering a small amount of time to teaching the kids. I have taught windsurfing a lot in the past, and so can assist in the teaching if needed. Volunteers would have to submit a criminal record check to the local RCMP. This is routine in any kind of program involving kids. Volunteers can then email me their availability, and I will match them up with kids seeking time on the water.

I imagine the program running from first wind in the morning until the early stages of big wind and possibly in the evening. Volunteers can follow along on boards as well.

Please PM me if you are interested in volunteering, or post comments or suggestions.
