Tofino?
Tofino?
Greetings -
In late August-September sometime my non-windsurfing wife, trusty dog and I will be taking our first trip to the Tofino area. If I pack some gear will I get a chance to use it? And if so where should I look for wind and what conditions could I expect? Any tips on the where, when, and how of things would also be very welcome.
Thanks in advance..............

If you have room, bring your gear. You may luck out and get a big day.
I've sailed at Long Beach and South Chesterman's beach many times. It is usually in light winds with small surf, but still a lot of fun. I use my old Bic E Rock to mush out and ride the waves back in. I was there last week for three days and got one day of sailing and 2 days of surfing. I'm going up again next week.
Later in the summer and early fall there is usually less wind and more fog. But you can always surf.

Hey Jefferson, read Grants reply to "Any tips for kiting at Longbeach" in the kiteboarding discussion forum. Most of it would also apply to wiundsurfing too. Have a great trip!
