JL, that tree octopus kinda looks similar to a kite in a tree...had that happen to mine before at Nitinat
Westcoast trees seem like a weird place to beachcomb.

Life is all about balance, and a dose of healthy wind addiction
had a highways project on cam lake a few years ago, wind came up thermally every day. usually not enough to sail, then nutso gusts make it not possible to rig.....the beauford day use area (aptly named) sticks out into the lake, nice spot, gravel beach and very good access, clean water.
not recently but when i tried it for fun....it wasn't....For a one design sail or putzing around, not for windsurfing in the real sense.....stop when it howls just for kicks....we used to put powder 8 turns down the sides of overpasses on Hwy 97 just for the fun of it and to use up the fluffynanmoo wrote:Has anyone sailed here recently?
