greetings
Hello everyone. Just ran across the site when I was planning a trip to Nitinat to scout out a possible future windsurfing trip. Since moving to Nanaimo 7 years ago I've been thinking of getting back into windsurfing (haven't gotten on a board in 10 years). A few months ago my gf came back from a drive to tell me that there was a guy with some windsurfing gear for sale. Shortly after I had a pair of old beaters, half a boom, a sand-locked two-piece mast, and a "sail" that seems to have been used as an outdoor tarp over the winter...but it's a start.
I'm a little ashamed that since moving out here I haven't gotten back into the sport sooner, but it's good to see that there's such an interest here on Van Isle. Maybe I'll see some of you out on the water in the next little while.

Hey Jude,
Welcome back to windsurfing! Not to sound like a gear ho', but if you get the chance, you should try some of the newer gear (within the last 3 or 4 years). You'll have more fun than you ever did. It's lighter, easier to sail, rangier and more fun than anything from 10 years ago. It's almost a different sport now.
See you on the water!

Hello, I got back into windsurfing last year and was able to get some newer stuff. If you need some sails I have a North Pyro 5.5, 1999, and a 1998 Ezzy wave sail, 4.7m. I will sell the them cheap if you are interested, around $100 for both. I am in Nanaimo as well so maybe see you around here.

free sails
Hey Jude, my name is Bobson. I have a quiver of older sails that you can have for free, they are still in good shape(no tears or repairs). There is a 5.2/5.7/6.2m. They are sitting in my storage and I have gotten new sails so I'm not using them and was going to try to sell them but would feel much better about giving them away for free to someone just starting out(again). Let me know if you want them.
