First Nitinat trip of the year...

Post by Bobson »

Okay, forecast for this coming weekend (May 5 and 6th) is looking reasonable. Might be the first Nitinat trip of the year (for me).

Anyone thinking of travelling up there this weekend..?? I always like sailing with others on the lake. Went up by myself once and sail with one other kiter and camped with no one else in the campground. Kinda weird.

Can carpool is necessary and will be leaving either Saturday or Sunday early morning. Possibly sailing Monday as well.

BOBSON!!

Hey Bobson,

If it looks really good for Sun/Mon I may head over.

I have converted my 142L FreeRace board into a quad to make the lake more exciting on my 7.0M.

Okay, 3-4 degree difference and dry sounds good so far. It'll be big gear but sunny and relaxing. I'm leaving Sunday AM, get there at noonish.

Anybody know if there is wifi somewhere in the village at the store..?? Is the store open..??

Feeling pretty excited for the first trip of the year!! Yay!

Thought I might join you Mon-Tues at Lake Bobson, but work has reared its ugly head. I'm hoping that there will be a good thermal westerly on those days for some Gordos afternoons instead!

Hey Bobson,

Forgot my son has a soccer awards thing on Sunday. And meetings Tues. Will likely sail Harrison on big stuff this weekend.

Will be there for Sat - Tues of the May long weekend if it is nice.

Looks like the Nat may be the only place with wind for the weekend. But, I see some east in the wind predictions for the south island; hope that doesn't spoil things! Might be my only chance for a Nat weekend this year, so I'm really hoping the sun sticks around! Though sailing 27 degrees in Port Alberni is tempting too.......

Hey Bobson,

My Dean just booked an all day planning meeting for Monday. Gotta teach another course Fri - Sun this weekend so I am out.

May head over to Nitinat Tues/Wed.....or Renfrew....or wait for the long weekend?

Hope it blows over there this weekend.

Any kiters going? Anyone know if either of the schools are there yet? 15 knots would be great for a lesson!

Anyone know the state of the road?
