Whoa, hope you heal up quickly, Jesse! That sucks. Great loop photos to look at while you heal up at least. You were ripping.

I wouldn't have thought the ocean in the middle of nowhere would've been packing much bad stuff. You probably got insanely unlucky.

yeah, but the beach and rigging area have enough dog poop, etc to do the trick.

Compared to the hundreds of dogs at Cook street and our poop pipped directly to sea I'd say you could almost eat off the ground at the cape comparatively speaking.

Sure. Blame it on IPA. "Woulda had that forward loop if it weren't for that IPA!" 8)

Good to know, good to read. I always spray my cuts with 70 o/o alcohol.
Works well for me. But I am going to get me some 1 o/o. Iodine. :?:

That draws my 2014 BWD tour participation to a close. :?

Overall this was possibly the ‘best’ windsurfing mission I have ever been on. :D 8) Over 3,000 km travelled to score 20 sessions in 10 days (11 windsurfing, 6 SUP and 3 SUP-sail sessions) with 7 days in row providing down-the-line sailing on the coast. Conditions ranged from super challenging to light using 4.0/4.5/5.2 for sails and a range of boards (74/92/110) used. Mission complete for 2014!

Thanks to all who shared those days on the south Oregon coast and helped to make it such a memorable trip! :D 8)

I look forward to being inspired by the adventures of others as the rest of the south Oregon coast season unfolds!

B Roll

In the spirit of sharing here is a link to a gallery containing about 370 ‘B roll’ shots – if there is anything in this set (or the others) that is of interest to you, please download it (click on the photo, then right click on it to select the file size you want). If you post these pictures publicly, I would appreciate a photo credit.

Slideshow Photos

I have also pulled together a slideshow summary to help let you find things easier (shown below). Just open the PDF by clicking here and hit on the link to the pictures and it will take you to a slideshow for that session. These are just the shots used in the slideshow. For these pause the slideshow, click on the slideshow title (top left), select the picture you want, then right click to select the file size you want to download. If you post these pictures publicly, I would appreciate a photo credit. All of the other shots are in the 'B roll' gallery above.

edit\ In hindsight it is likely easier to scan the galleries if you are looking for pictures. If you would prefer to look through the galleries, click here to view the Gallery Index.

Had so much fun last week I am looking for a round 2. Maybe as early as July 30th until around August 5th. Or maybe the entire Aug 4th week. If the coast is looking good that will be the number 1 choice followed by the gorge...maybe out East?

Who is in for a round 2 or for a round 1 if you missed out over the past few weeks?

It is looking more like the first week of August for me now. Furthest I will go is Gold Beach.
