I have sailed here on a strong and a light NW, waves were jumbled outside with at that time weird cross chop and not really rideable inside except for very short backside rides, lifting off winds inshore with no riding there at all. SP is also mostly backside but you get a little frontside riding at your own downwinded and rocky shore worked peril. Waves are much larger. Also winds tend to blow more into shore....oddly enough, tho still light. I would certainly prefer SP on a NW even if it means lighter winds
Wish less, sail more!!
