Tofino to Ucluelet camping
Tofino to Ucluelet camping
Looking for some beta on camping near Long Beach.
i know i am a kook but i am not finding info on the forum search.
Most campgrounds are closed, but i am looking for info on the free overnight spot.
Any advise?
Thanks in advance.

Camping out at Kennedy lake is always a sure bet, just watching out for the loonies that spend the winters out there.
In terms of the free spots close to town, there are all sorts of tricks but I don't think many of us are willing to commit them to the internet should we/they be found out. Best to ask someone at the beach for a undocumented/off-the-record advice.

Don't forget to bring a towel!
I go to Surf Junction - turn left when you reach the "L for Uclulet - R for Tofino" intersection and it's about 0.5 km up on the left. Massive hot tub, sauna, little store, wood, gear rinse station, hot showers, reasonably secluded camp spots, and trees to tie the massive plastic tarp you will need to keep the monsoons off your site.
