First time at the Beachcomber I stepped out on the balcony to see Bernd, Levi and Keith Taboul sailing on some massive swell right in front of the motel. What a show, and a great way to end the day! Love that place. Especially if you get the windsurfer's special rate.

After looking at Kus's links.....I am officially scared. K

Tsawwassan and I were chating down in PSC about something being 'missing' compared to South Oregon - it was the sense of being 'completely awake' you get from the pump of adreneline caused by fear!

Well, at PSC it sure helps to have a a daily dose of a few Baja Fogs to take any sense of adrenaline-fueled fear down a notch or two. Difference in Oregon is, you have the outlandish inconvenience of having to scramble across a few dunes to dig up the stashed Fireball rather than having someone simply hand you a beer before you take a few more steps to the warm solar shower. Raises the hair on the back of my neck thinking about those dune hikes, stumbling around like a rasping, incoherent man dying of thirst in the desert!

I might bring this "add on" option along for extra comfort, especially if it's quite warm at night.

You might want to sleep in your car.

Every year is seems a little different (2011 was chilly, 2014 felt like summer), but when it is chilly the cool air, cold water and cold nights (double layer of clothes inside 3 season sleeping bag) can gradually wear down your internal heat. When that happens it sure is nice to feel your bones warmed back up with a trip out east in the Gorge on the way home!

Thinking about AWT pistol again, I'll have to see how Holidays work once they announce the dates. SC is out for me this year.

End of June, start of July, hitting up the Hood and will trip to the coast if conditions are good.
