The newbie who was having issues was separated from his board. I didn't think I could manage to bring it in on the WS. I asked around after he had dragged in out of sight and heard he had someone on the beach helping him so figured they would know where to look to retrieve the board. I sort of thought that was a fatter ended twintip than this one though? Might be wrong on that, I only saw it briefly. Anyone know who that was?

Confirmed this is from Saturday 430ish, so not an emergency.

Yeah, I think it was the guy with the green and while older OR kite.

Talked to some of the tugwell kiters: no one knew him. Younger fellow, had a support crew of parents etc launching him.

I saw the guy and the board separated near the beach Saturday and then saw him on the beach with help just downwind from the wsurf launch. I can confirm his board was white if that helps.

That looks vintage! Not nearly as easy to use as a modern wider tailed/wider stanced board! May have been a blessing if it was never found.
Don't forget to bring a towel!
