p2p

Post by jjjim »

I know this is only marginally related to windsurfing (maybe the songs that play in your head while sailing?) but now that win mx is having legal problems i wonder what is the popular alternative for music downloads. I only ask here because some of the participants in this forum oblviously know their digital stuff. (and are rather hip, as well).

well i havn't been on(winmx) for a couple weeks but wasn't aware of any "legal problems" ... but if you're talking about all the bogus files that have flooded winmx there are ways around that - just type in ' -C ' in the bottom search bar ... here's link relating to that - http://www.vladd44.com/phpbb2/viewtopic ... &start=125 ... also a good site for p2p info

you could also try just searching out albumwrap files, this is what i do because you get complete album and can unwrap later and it doesn't seem to be affected by all these bogus files yet! .... just type in ' ALBW ' in bottom search window as well with artist in top of course .... you can find the ALBW unwrapper program easily as well, if you can't i can send it to you(small program) .... hope this helps you, happy d/ling
