OR Pyro suit for windsurfing?
ocean Rodeo Dry Suit
Hey guys,I am presently testing the latest Ocean rodeo dry siut, has some great new features, such as Gortex like stretch panels, for a snugger fit.Back entry on this one, heavy stainless zipper, this suit is totally Dry.Seals everywhere.Pop on the fleese underwhere, and off I go,I get wet inside just from sweat,I sweat more than the average guy.If you are slow to sweat,it would be dryer for you.Swimming is a bit awkward if you don't Bleed the air the air before you go out.I can actually get it pretty snug to my body. Lots of mobility, important that you get the correct size. The latex seals should be adjusted to your neck size ,as well as ,wrist and ankles. One huge advantage {besides the warmth}is the lightness of this suit,I don't feel wieghted down. The opposite. So mobility is fantastic.I have a strap on my van, to attach to for unassisted Zipping.Back zip's,usually require help. There is always someone around anyway. You need a head covering, ocean rodeo has a new beany,I use a velcro neoprene model. That way it can be pulled back if i heat up,which I do,then pulled back on,if needed.Anyone else should take Richard up on his offer for demo's.It's great that there is a local company, that actually can do this. And has services to offer.Stay dry,See you at the beach.
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING and Life is a beach
Pyro suit
I have a pyro that is a year old. I love it for windsurfing. Everything that " Ass Crack" says is right on. You can dress underneath as required for warmth. Very light to sail in. Cuffs do not drag in water at all!
It drys out in an hour after use and is ready for tommorrow!!
Highly recommended!!

Dry Suit zipper
You will find that your zipper will not have a long life if you attach it to something and pull to do if up. I have been through 2 zippers that way.
But it does work. Make shure you wax your zipper lots and rinse the seals after every use.
Cheers

Extending Steamer Comfort Zone
For those of us who would love the Pyro, but still haven't worn out our steamers --- My Whites (truly excellent) full hooded steamer gets cold down around 7 C and I use it to about 5C in 25-35kts. I trimmed the dry seals from a kayak dry top (those I get free) to just lightly fit around the neck and wrists. Wearing this keeps the wind chill factor way down and really extends the comfort zone. Especially good when hanging around beach and fits well under the harness. You can ask for them from ocean kayakers with old blown out seal tops.
Still - my next buy is a Pyro, may get the wife back into sailing also.
