Daylight Savings Time Feedback requested!

Post by BigD »

I know some of you guys like to get up at the crack of dawn for the SE blows but given my 9-5 work schedule I'm more apt to get on the water for some afternoon westerlys. Extending daylight savings time by 4 weeks should add a few more afternoon sailing days each year 8) .

If you agree then send an email  :

Yeah this is awesome news. Who wouldn't want more sunlight hours in our dark dank depressing winters. I hope everyone here supports it. It's supposed to reduce road accidents (they happen mostly at twilight) and save some lighting energy.

PS I still have to clean the web cam. Keep forgetting

Daylight time

The sooner the better!! This working thing is really getting in the way of my progession. I need to rip my jibes and at least get the board out of the water this year.....which is tougher than it sounds when all you sail are Formula boards...HA!! :D
Good Times,

What if we went more radical and had sunset always at 9pm? It wouldn't be light out until noon in the winter, but we'd always have a generous amount of after work play time.

Time

Post by TURTLE »

In the top eastern 1/4 of the province the time does not change in the winter.

Rationale... It is dark all the time in the winter anyway and light all the time in the summer. Changing time didn't make sense so they voted against it ( Prince George north to Fort Nelson).

I would like more light after work as well...NEED NEW TIME ZONE???

I just can't get out windsurfing in time before dark although ... almost the season...

We should go on daylight savings time for the winter months and on double daylight savings time for the summer months. Standard Time RIP! 8)
