The finishing on BWD's van interior is amazing, they cover everything even the curved bits. It would be nearly impossible to recreate in a non-production setting without spending countless hours and dollars on it, and months with a partially non-functional van. Still, it's $15k worth it, not $35k worth it as BWD notes.
Don't forget to bring a towel!

Van purchase
Hey,
Just to follow up. I ended up buying a 2016 Nissan NV 3500, 1 ton van, not a full Sprinter.
Why? I am getting a seasons pass to Whistler next year and decided a tall Sprinter van was just too big for ski trips. We are also planning a Revy ski trip in January or February 2017 (.....there are up to 12 removable seats in this beast.....lemme know if interested in Revy....approx. 7 people booked so far).
Been to the Gorge once, and Nitinat a few times as well as some mtn biking road trips to the interior. Gas mileage not too bad for a V8.
I added the NV 3500 three bar roof rack (good to 700 lbs) and a cargo basket which holds a full Dakine sail bag nicely.
I plan on building some kind of a bed/rack system inside. I am down to two windsurfers, and a kite, which will go inside under a bed, and my 2 surf SUPs on top. Got a North Shore 4 mtn bike rack on order.
This thing gets comments or people asking about it everywhere I go. Got stopped at a road block in North Van and the cop thought it was a SWAT van.
Some pics.....

Thanks for the update. Solid looking vehicle. http://ncv.nissan.ca/ca-en/vans-and-tru ... tion=specs It will be interesting to see if Nissan puts the V8 cummins diesel in the van

NV 3500
Hi Markus,
It is not a 4x4 version. I owned a 4x4 GMC Sierra pickup for 10 years. But I hardly ever put it in 4WD, even with skiing 60+ days a year. The Baker and Whistler roads are fine with good rubber.....and I will have chains if required on the way to Revy.
I think 4x4 just adds a ton of cost?
So hard not to sticker this thing up.....but trying to do things differently. Going for more stealth mode.

another decent sprinter camperizing clip, some good ideas there, like the hammock seat and workplace/bed combo with the drop down hatch storage:
