We have been informed by the International Sailing Federation - ISAF - that they will support a decision by the WSSRC to ratify a claim for the Outright World Sailing Speed Record by a Kite-board.

In accordance with this, the WSSRC announces the ratification of a new World Record:

I guess Hydroptere couldn't let the upstart Sailrocket get all the 'crash clips' glory. They went for an endo forwards - but at an almost unbelievable 61 knots!! If they can do this controlled, they'll smash the outright record. It will be a race to rebuild these two boats, while the kites are going to have to go even crazier to keep up!
