Lost my new 16m kite on Monday Aug 8th between Nimpkish Lake and Port McNeil around 10:00 pm. Must have forgoten to close the Thule box and didn't notice it was open (was dark out) Kite only in bag, no pump, no bar, just a new kite used maybe 2 hours.

There was a silver Mazda car following me, I think they tried to let me know my box was open by pulling up beside me on a passing lane, waving and then dropping back behind again. Was too dark to see much and I did not recognize them. When I got to the Hide Creek Esso, they were no longer behind. While I was on the phone at the Esso, I think I saw the same car do a loop in and out of the parking lot.

Didn't notice the box was open or kite was gone till the next morning. I have driven the road 2 times, left a note at the bulletin board at the Esso and put an add in the North Island paper.

Kite is the Dark Green color, I would not think there are too many of these kites around. Please let me know if it's spotted. Cell 604-808-1989.
