any feedback on pivot vs. regular spreader bars? Is one better than the other or safer?

I haven't heard about anybody else having the same problem but I've had the weld at the hinge area of the pivot bar tear almost completely apart on two different bars . They're waaaaaaaaaaay underbuilt ..... and unsafe in my opinion .

not sure about hinge or not but get the stainless steel bar, the alu bars corrode or bend and let go at inopportune times (is there ever a good time for this  ) and the fewer moving parts the better things usually turn out 8)
