Bobson this is a great way to observe the wind ~ Sidney. http://www.atmos.washington.edu/maciver ... frame1.htm ...Temp is also available for those wind chill calculations.

Nice one Marv!!

That's fantastic. I'm guessing it records the route the whole way when the ferry runs only. Otherwise just the US side of things.

That'll work well for the Spit runs!! :D

Check the Tues Jan 03, 11:05 report - that goes all the way to Sidney (12-14 knots)

Ya, it(the ferry) I saw it leaving just as I was arriving at 11:15am(ish). 12-14 was pretty much what it felt like after I got on the water.....then at 12:30 to 12:45 it picked up. I thought it would have been more than 14-16 at 2:05pm though looking at the Airport which was 17 g25 at 2:00pm..??

http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/schedul ... te=ana-sid 12:05 today 5-6 knots..sounds about right.
Thermals are good.
