Waffalitis: an affliction commonly observed amongst wind addicts leading to the inability to commit to family functions in advance. Symptoms include evasive replies, lack of direct eye contact and in extreme cases, periods of temporary hearing impairment. In the acute phase, family dysfunction may occur. For a local support group, log onto BWD.ca.
There is no known cure at the present time.
Treatment consists of large doses of water and wind PRN (as needed). Studies have shown variable lengths of remission amongst participants in the study group.

NIGHT WINDS - 1. A general affliction certain windsurfers suffer from which may result in a motorhome sleep-over ban to the pup tent 8)
2. Also the unnerving scenario when you wait for wind all frikkin day using up all known and imagined family credits only to be in the dark when the wind finally kicks in :x
3. Emily Bronte's- Night-Wind
In summer's mellow midnight,
A cloudless moon shone through
Our open parlour window,
And rose-trees wet with dew.

I sat in silent musing;
The soft wind waved my hair;
It told me heaven was glorious,
And sleeping earth was fair........

Braille Gybe - reduced visibility gybe in waves due to early darkness while harnessing Night winds...or "can't see shit thru da sail window"

Zodiaphobia - the nagging feeling of fear that the wind will die and/or you spent too much time in the water adjusting your gear, resulting in nervous fingers of non-sailors on shore punching *16 on their cell phones....

AA (ANTICIPATION AGONY) characterized by restlessness, difficulty making clear decisions, wasting excessive amounts of time checking electronic devices. Sitting at the beach until dusk before you are able to make a decision to return home OR staying home and not being able to focus due to excessive distraction checking electronic devices. A confused restless state of being.
