Nitinat Sept 22-24 Weekend

Is anybody going to Nitinat this weekend? We're planning a trip up there and I think its going to be cold, but windy.

not much of a thermal gradient showing though. But we don't really expect 25 knots this time of year anyway, do we? It is tempting to round out the year.... But I promised to cut blackberry thicket encroaching on the lawn and rig a dog shelter......

If you look at the Weathernetwork, it is calling for a high of 17 for BOTH Port Alberni and Tofino. Temperature difference of zero not too tempting...

Environ Canada is now showing 18 for Tofino, 25 for Port Alberni both days. THat should be enough!!

yeah, if only EC was right there might be over 10 knots. but, even with the improved forecast, the Weathernetwork is calling for 3 degree and 1 degree temp diferential for saturday and sunday respectively. good chance of watching a 5 knot breeze all afternoon. :cry:

but who knows, one could always get lucky....
