Winterizing Stuff
Hey people, I just brought all my boards into the house in case we have another outage so I cannot rely on the garage heater or vehicle at the bottom of the driveway (also known as Mt. Everest) 
It's supposed to hit minus 10 for a couple of days
a bit unusual for here.
There is always SOME water inside your windsurf boards and spray cans also don't like to be frozen, neither does epoxy I believe. Taking the vents out once inside is a good plan too, usually I never touch mine during the year. Also if you leave the vents in for a bit and spray some water/windex onto the strap plugs or repairs you can check easily for any leaks as it would bubble up nicely.

you can gently pressurize your board for leak diagnosis using a schraeder valve cut off a bike tube, threaded into the vent hole. ive done this a couple times and it works great- use a pump with a gauge!

Winterizing 
Here I sit far from my old Island home (moved last summer-job).
I am on the prairies !!! and just dug out of snow snow snow in lovely windy subzero wind chill.
Anyway, I just posted to say that my "winterizing" involves visiting all the Island web cam's every few days just to keep up my spirits
glad this site is here with the great glimpses of various island places.
Soon if the "gods" smile I may have the opportunity to return.
