Hi regarding the road to Nitinaht Im not sure, but as for the campsite nitinat Pat and I were down there last week and the road is blocked off. Campsite closed right now. We went down the beach way and the park is a mess inside. Couldnt even see the road. Hardly recognizable. Hope it gets fixed up soon, almost time for kiting.

Hello I was heading up there during next week sometime.
If anyone would like to join the trip who can put a chainsaw
to work as well as a shovel. They are more than welcome.
Cheers

I might if you picked a week other than spring break 8) Open to put my saw/tools to use this Thurs & Fri if no wind in forecast :D Shovel, ah, nope, I'll save my back for sailing, bucking will be hard enough on it :? I imagine we'd try to clear the road access until the "real men of the woods" can get at'er

I heard from Jude, the campground manager, that the cleanup was fully funded. Given that, I assume that professionals with big mahines will descend on the campground soon to carry out a large scale cleanup. I was willing to help but I doubt whether a shovel and buck saw would make much impact. Does anyone know of the schedule for the cleanup?
I wish my TOW was longer!

Hi,

Any estimated dates for access would be really appreciated.....

Are we talking mid April or later for campsite access? I was planning to go for the first trip near the end of April? After only a few days sailing last year I want to get up there so I can get my assed kicked on the new Sailworks Huckers...

Hey KC

At this moment in time, I highly doubt it is going to be ready by april, major sadness to give this report, but that is reality. At this moment, the campground is sealed off, no access allowed.
Airtime! whoo hoooo, its all about the airtime...... ok waves rock too!

Colin: see other thread on this. MoTSA said they hoped for beginning of May, Judy has said mid-May .
