FATHER'S DAY BLOWOUT!!

Post by KUS »

Ross & I were brainstorming yesterday about some local events. A downwinder is always fun. I would volunteer to give 4-5 relatively dry :P people a ride to Esquimalt tomorrow afternoon from Kook if the wind's got a bit S in it. Perhaps another person could offer up another vehicle to enlarge the group to ensure everyone makes it in the pack. Larger volume boards for Wsurfers, life jackets for kiters probably a good plan, just a thought in case things go horribly sideways

I also have three bouys to throw out off the reef for a short course speed rip if anyone's into it  I just need three chunks of metal or some form of anchor. Lemme know, will check responses tomorrow.

Thinking maybe 1-1:30 leave Kook for Esq. if the model & forecast holds  I can take kiters or Wsurfers. I'll bring some Rye for the local Dads, maybe that's what's needed for me to try loops again 8)

Hmm, this sounds interesting. Except I think today it's a bit too West to make it optimal. Also, since it's Father's day, busy until @3:30. If the wind improves and you are going later, let us know. Othwerwise, perhaps sometime in July when it usually gets more south in the early afternoon?

Cheers,

If it hadn't been Fathers day, I'd have gone for sure.
How was it?

well not sure how much more optimal it can get  sunny, windier upwind, warm, free ride.....yet it seemed kinda like asking for an increase in income tax :? Apathy must be a Canadian gene...
