OR Pyro Suspenders

I just bought a used back zip pyro drysuit. I have a question for those that use these suits. Are the suspenders useful? The one I bought did not come with a set but have Velcro tabs for them, at least I think that's what they are for. Just wondering if suspenders are useful to prevent the dreaded rapper low crotch and if it's worthwhile trying to find a set?

I have had many pairs of dry suits. and if the suit fits you right you should not need the suspenders . after you put your suit on . squat and squeez all of the air out of your suit and it should stay nice and tight to you and not move very much. if your cuffs are dragging on the ground though
you can give them a shot. I am glad hey went with the velcro attachment
the plastic ones always dug into my hips...

I ditched the suspenders on mine. Your harness will keep the suit in place. If it doesn't, just say "Yo yo yo! J-Man in da hizzy!!!" if any one points out the rapperesque look you're sporting. Fo' shizzle.

Hey, welcome to the dry side, John! Mine doesn't have suspenders and due to my weird body build, the legs are WAY too long. But the ankle seals and booties keep the legs off the ground and like Doc says, your harness will keep the rest of it up, (and hide the beer bellie to some degree), so no need for suspenders!

I have the surf dry. I like the suspenders. They seem to make the suit easier to get on. My suit came with them and the velcro attachment points. Maybe it doesn't make a difference when you do get the top on.

I use the suspenders and criss-cross them over my shoulders. Never tried it without. Sometimes they slip off the adjuster.

Thanks to all for the advise and reply's. I picked up a complementary set of suspenders from OR and tried the suit at kook today. Wearing the suit from home I think the suspenders were a benefit but once you get the top and harness on it doesn't matter. It was nice to be dry for the sesh but if you had to swim much a wetsuit would be better. I also found light wind waterstarting a little tough, getting that back leg bent enough even with the knee flexing points was harder than in a neoprene suit. Could be my huge thighs or OR may have corrected this with more recent designs. Looking forward to some cold N winds to really test the suit. Thanks again for the advise.
