Are we still on track for July 18th - August 3rd trip? Trying to confirm with Jolene when I'll be away and when she will be away.

I am looking at the first week of this trip.

bwd can answer himself, but since he is undoubtedly sleeping like a child dreaming of bikini speed runs at gordons tomorrow, and having asked this question already earlier today, it is still a go.

Yes sir, the July 18-Aug 3 trip is still on track. It looks like most people have opted for this trip over the first one. I'm still not sure if I'll do the June trip or not yet.

There is a lot of planning still to do for the July trip. The itinerary is almost complete and you should be getting a copy in the mail soon. Most days are jammed packed with sightseeing, museum tours, wine tasting etc. so I really hope it's not too windy. I never realized how much there is to do in Florence.

I am sure it was just an oversight, but you didn't mention the sea lion cave tour specifically. Kus don't get too nervous about the cave tour it really is a cave and not something that Billy Bob at a rest stop would be in to.

I'll be watching the mailbox for the itinerary.

Wow! Little Florence grew up quickly. Last time I was there, it was just dunes, rednecks, jetty-girls and gunshops! Looks like Flo' got her hair did.

Meet cookies are packed into a RubberMade bin, sitting on the balcony waiting for the trip to happen.

Vodka drinking training shedule has been updated according to the team list.

KD, chips, pretzels, and Blue Ribbon beer preordered and waiting for pick up in a large warehouse in Florence.

Jaxx bar is booked for entertainment for every night.

I'd say we all set.

Thx Lawnboy, I am a bit concerned about being ambushed again by my coveralls wearing pal Billy Bob :? Ruskie, Grandma's candle has been replenished & upgraded, BWD, hope to have audio visual reviews of our activities discussed by my speed buddy Buzanis and wave pal Stone. Graham Ezzy might be tempted with a new helmet and the Pabst too, we'll see. They are looking forward to the cathedral tour and Spewmonte wine tasting as well as the Vodka Suck'n Blows

My dates:

June 25th - July 8th (both times via Coho on the late sailing)
July 23rd - Aug 10th (returning Coho on the early sailing....that's if I survived the first trip and Oregon's finest didn't get me)

If I go it will be a last minute decision. I'll try to track you guys down if/when it happens.

I'll need advice on where to car camp, both in the Gorge and along the coast...let me find those posts.

Edit: Here is the Oregon Coast Wavesailing Guide Thread
Another link that Pasta posted previously: Oregon Windsurfing Spots

Anyone have that Gorge Guide that was in the magazine last year? I'd like to have a peek at it. I did a quick search online - not much info in a good concentrated format. I did find The Gluttonous Gorge, and a Windsport Mag Gorge Google Map. Anyone have a good link to share for Gorge newbies?

Gearing up in preparation. I finally found a 3.1 sail (to go with the 67L)!

I now have two GoPros to share around (with helmet and boom mounts). We've discussed this before, but maybe this is a good opportunity to pool our footage and put together a short holiday home movie. Bring your video cameras or use the video function on your digital camera! Let me know if you are interested in contributing and we can discuss ideas.

House renos may have to wait.
