Board Test Links
Board Test Links
Researching boards online is a good first step to narrowing down potential boards to try, but finding detailed and balanced reviews of boards is difficult. There seems to be a need to start a thread where we can accumulate some good tests for those wanting to research both old and new boards.
I've been searching for some decent reviews of recent freestyle-wave boards. I like the way this one categorizes different boards and describes their strengths/differences (PDF Document):
January/February 2007 BOARDS Magazine Freestyle-Wave Board Test
If you know of any, please add more links to tests or reviews!

RRD WAVE TWIN
Holy winddoc that RRD sure got a good review. I'd sure like to test drive one at a dealer near me today.

Thinking is over rated- Homer Simpson
Thanks Winddoc! That is a really good site. For older equipment reviews (2004-2006) there is the Boardseeker Magazine Archive. Just select Equipment Reviews from the drop down list.

the sad fact is, besides being hopelessly out of style, those 07 boards were just not designed to work with the modern rigs and fins of today. They also were not designed with any knowledge of today's progressive sailing styles or modern wave geometry and water textures.
2004 to 06?!? wern't boards hewn from solid blocks of granite back then?
