The video does explain it - their website doesn't. As I figured, its more than GPS -they have an inertial nav system as well - I wondered when someone was going to market something like this. My late techy friend Ian McKay was custom making things like this about 10-15 years ago for testing cargo parachute performance.

Cool for kiters (or windsurfers) to be able to properly measure their jump heights, flight time, etc.
