General discussions about the weather, incoming storms and swell, complaining, why is it always so windy at night etc.

A group of us made the trip to Long Beach for the big gale warning on Saturday and Sunday and it was well worth it, although no gales were found. On Saturday Bryan, Chris, Trevor and I sailed at Chesterman's on big gear. The surf was 3-4 feet and the wind was good side-off at 15 knots. Half and half planing and slogging on the big freestyle boards. Grant and others were kiting at Combers beach where the swell was bigger and the wind was a little lighter.

On Sunday we all hooked up and sailed and kited at Combers beach. The swell was bigger here at 4-5 feet with occasional head high sets (mostly when I was slogging out). The wind was pretty light and the windsurfers slogged and the kiters ripped around on 16's. We all got lots and lots of great rides and I got worked big time on a mast breaking wave at the end of the day. Luckily the Ezzy masts are bomber and it didn't break.

All in all a great trip and we hope hope to do more weekend trips up there. Keep an eye on the forecasts,

Anybody get wind in town or at Nitinat this weekend??
