Nitinat Wind - Thermal + Gradient

Nitinat Wind - Thermal + Gradient
I thought I would take this off the bulletin board to the Weather discussion. I was going to head over to Nitinat on Saturday, because the sun makes it blow, but this forecast discussion has me wavering:
OFFSHORE FLOW WILL PREVAIL ON SAT AS AN INVERTED SURFACE TROUGH
FORMS ALONG THE COAST

THE TROUGH WILL SHIFT EAST OF THE CASCADES ON SUN...WITH ONSHORE FLOW DEVELOPING SUN EVENING. WILL LIKELY SEE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WESTERLIES THROUGH THE STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA. LIGHT NWLY ONSHORE FLOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.

They were predicting 10 kt outflow so if you add that to the usual 20 knot thermal that makes a 10 kt inflow for Nitinat tomorrow. I guess we will see.

Hey,
20 inflow - 10 outflow = +10 inflow. Is it that simple!
What about the following weekend? Could be doable for me?
Just got a new Guru 5.3 that needs to get wet before summer ends.

Ssshhh! It's a gift for my wife (yes - she does exist). Except she doesn't windsurf so I guess I will take it as a hand me down. The sacrifices I have to make to keep her happy!!

Nitinat Friday?
From a newbie to those in the know ... what would you guess as to likelihood of kite-able wind at Nitinat this Friday? I know there's no crystal ball, but given weather patterns and history ... do you think the probably is better or worse than 50/50?
I can swing a day off and trying to make the best call for plans. Or is somewhere else a smarter call? (for a novice kiter)

check the delta T between Tofino and Port Alberni, Nitnat works with a temperature differential down to about 3 degrees PROVIDED there is also a favorable onshore pressure gradient. Randy K. has collected a number of auto-updated forecasting predictors (eg. pressure maps) on the site linked as Nitnat & West Coast Weather. Beyond that, there tends to be a few people on this site willing to predict for free!
