The Lurker

Post by morewind »

With these super low tides, the dreaded Cook St lurker rock starts to become a factor. Just when you've congratuated yourself for pinching upwind past the outer reef -- BAM - the lurker claims another fin! Here's what it looked like at low tide today.

I put a hole in a board once on one of those rocks, the sad part was that it was a hollow board, not a good scenerio.

i tagged that thing with my fin just after launching, on my E-Rock back in the old days. It seemed good until i made my outside jibe and then pressured it on the other side - pop, goodbye fin.. hello spiral staircase.
