From PDX discussion,

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/ ... QR&wfo=PQR

.MARINE...EXPECT TRANQUIL WINDS AND SEAS THROUGH SATURDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES OVER THE NORTHEAST PACIFIC. A COUPLE WEAK STORM SYSTEMS COULD CAUSE WINDS AND SEAS TO INCREASE A BIT LATE IN THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. HOWEVER...SEAS SHOULD REMAIN BELOW 10 FT AND LITTLE MORE THAN SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES FOR WINDS APPEAR POSSIBLE.
I wish my TOW was longer!

keep posting on the OR and Gorge predictions for the weekend. I fly back to Vancouver on Friday and need to decide to either go S on I5 or head back to the island.

Seems like we'll be heading to the Gorge or North Coast Sunday morning.

The swell forecast is looking pretty good for Tuesday on. I'd be in for a mostly surf trip with the chance of some wind at the end of next week.

Keep us posted where north coast means guys.

So it is looking more and more like a delay by a week is in the works. Looking like a departure from here around next thursday, friday or weekend depending on the person.

DWD and Fish can you delay a bit?

It's a bit complicated this year, but I'm hoping to be down there on the 30th for 10 days or so, weather permitting.

I think Sam gets a sponsorship from Windalert to make that forecast public leading up to and during the contest.

I've finally given up. I was waiting to see if things were going to improve this week but it doesn't look good and my window has closed. I might be able to get a few days in at the Gorge next week and then head to Seaside for maybe a day but that's all the time I have. Very sad, I was sooooo stoked about this trip. I'll have to start making plans for another. Maybe in the fall, I remember Kus got a few nice days at Florence in September. Hope things improve for you guys and maybe I'll see some of you in Hood River.

Cheers,

Michael
