Haven't seen them in Canada but I saw them in the Gorge in the late 80's on the water.

Cool! Looks like a cross between a windsurfing sail and a mini hanglider wing. Not sure about the roller blades, but with a snowboard, wow!

Its a cool video, download it while you cook or something, PH. Late 80's= weren't these mounted on short masts on sailboards then? -- sort of a standing lug rig with two universals, one on each end of the mast -- I remeber seeing huge air time on them. Looks like they are a little smaller and just hand held now. Wonder how long you can hang on - some of the skiing shots looked like it would be a looong time before touchdown. Turning and stall characteristics? Looks like just the thing for Ft St John or Grande Prairie with skis or a snowboard in winter and in-line skates and a recent pave for the other 2 months of the year!

cool footage ... a hybrid version of old windwing for land/snow/pavement applications ... i too would've liked to see more footage of it being used with a snowboard :?

Very cool. Never have seen it before. Not sure how I would like to use it. Snowboard may have the softest landing! On a black diamond one might be a long way off the ground though.
