Slippery Board`

Unread post by BigD »

I've got a Fanatic Freewave 86L and I noticed this weekend at Nitnat that the area between the foot straps is a bit slippery. Any one have a good method to easily add some grip?

BigD. I have some acrylic non-skid “powder” from Resin Research. It is a new product that was given to me to test. It is fantastic. Sand your board, spread a little resin and a sprinkle of the non-skid and you will no longer slip. I am away next week, but I will be back in Victoria the week after and I will pass on some if you want it. Let me know. PS As long as you keep your damn dragon under control.

i tried out a can of monster traction spray, 22$ at Island Longboards. it worked ok on my sup board and skate deck but on the WS board i found it not quite gritty enough.

This Resin Research ground acrylic is fantastic. I used an acrylic nonskid from Fiberglass Hawaii and my toes got eaten. The Resin Research acrylic has much smaller particles and is not as abrasive as the FH stuff. Also a very light post cure sanding helps as well.

new board

New board, that's a whole 'nother thread! I think I'm gonna learn duck jibes before I get a new board since I'm likely to take the nose off...

BigD, Send me your contact information if you like. I may be passing through Tsawwassen and could drop some off. Reluctant to send unidentifiable white powder in the mail.
