Yes. Summer or Sept/Oct (try'n to coordinate with Tsawwassen). I am leaning toward the fall (easier on the family and not much wind on the Mainland then).

That's awesome Dave. I'm off till the 16th so I'm good to go if the boys are coming back!
Thinking of entering the Newport downwinder with you. What do you think of doing it tandem with me. Kinda nervous of doing it by myself.

Once again the BWD 'surf tour' was a highlight!
8) 8) 8)

A big "thank you" to all who made the 2015 tour such a memorable one - both on and off the water!!! It has been a long time since I have laughed that hard (too long).
:D :D :D

Special thanks go out to:
  • BWD - 'surf camp' director
  • DavidM - SUP stance tips
  • Downwinddave/Fish/Shaggy - Bandon guitar jam
  • Eastside - photos
  • Kus - photos
  • locals for sharing their spots with us
  • Nanmoo - bottom turn sailing tip
  • staff at Curry County fairground
  • TheLaw - photos
  • Tswwassan - photos (and for making the drive for such a short trip)
  • Udder - 'pointing' out all the set waves from the beach
  • Winddoctor - tuna, tent take-down, photos, and SUP stance/sailing tips
Thank you to all who posted and shared comments on the photos I took. The feedback and smiles are greatly appreciated.

A big "thank you" to all ...
[*]Kus - photos
and here I thought you appreciated my positive and magnetic personality and good taste in fine beer and designer flip flops

17 sailing sessions, 13 days, 4 destination areas, 3000km, massive carbon footprint unfortunately but making the most of this at times stressful trip! The swell wasn't huge but at least we got some of what "used to be" and decent winds. The heat was a challenge for man, machine and beast alike! As bwd says it is setting up for my 2 week'er, might be hitch hiking for it or behind a tow truck but a day on the O coast is worth 500 days elsewhere :!: believe it! Life is short, plan it now, do it ASAP, no regrets
