Upwind is wind shadowed on the nice beach thanks to the headland
Often a huge shore bubble further downwind. Sometimes you can't get off or back to the beach. Low tide there's a narrow exit with boulders galore, don't let your kite Hindenburg around them. Egress downwind is more no wind boulder city, probably fine for you but not your kite. If you cant make it back then best option is to land downwind at JR. It can be a very frustrating spot. Gordon's is far more consistent and steady. Good luck.

Don't forget to bring a towel!
