According to the news last night they are just making people aware that very little is open. Various "locals" (cannot confirm they have received their mahalo rewards card or equivilent) are twisting reality a bit in their favor to further try to scare people away. I get the sentiment, sorta, but as kite kook points out why lie? Obviously Bonnie doesn't think it's a big enough deal as she does have the power to implement an actual order.
Don't forget to bring a towel!

I'm still trying to work this out...if i have a sickness i’m not road(day) tripping...I know nothing is open and there are no accommodations… So if I’m coming to SURF I’m not anywhere within 6 feet of anybody and apart from crashing on the highway, what’s the harm? People are whining about going to Port Renfrew and they’re riding through to do the circle route just for something to do. To argue you can’t do that because you might have an accident is BS...as is the “roadblock”

PS Bonnie Henry/Adrian Dix are heroes as are our grocery/health care workers!! I salute you!!

I guess the biggest concern would be someone who has it but hasn’t felt any symptoms/doesn’t know they have it, then use the public washrooms there and the germs are left on a surface there for days. Then the guy who cleans it gets it and goes grocery shopping, etc.
Or someone forgets something so goes to store to grab it and spreads it.
Apparently can have it and not show symptoms for up to 2 weeks.
Nitinat closed and Ukee and Tofino are for the same reason. Just gotta wait it out.
I’m not saying I totally agree with everything, but I see the reasoning.

Yeah you should not use or expect to use ANYTHING public...come prepared with a full tank n roll of TP...all washrooms/picnic areas are closed And people should respect that....as well as not engaging in high risk behaviors...for some that’s walking or driving  Davey...i have a whole WHACK of gin!!!

Disappointing, but understandable and smart with how crowded it gets, and outhouses.
