Not sure what is going on with our Public Health Authority/CRD. They spent a billion dollars on a sewage plant then put up more and more signs telling everyone the water is always worse, regardless of rainfall or dry-spells, summer and winter. They never take the sign down in Ross Bay, even when it has been bashed to pulp by a storm. I guess it is some comfort to know they are testing, but I have wondered if this is a policy change driven in part by the rise in cold water health-swimming and liability? According to the EPA "Enterococci are typically not considered harmful to humans..." Some clarity would be helpful.
