High pressure over the northeastern Pacific extending over the waters will continue into Friday. A pair of weak systems will move through the area over the weekend. Combined seas over the coastal waters in the 10 to 12 foot range through Wednesday. Seas for the outermost coastal waters could reach 14 feet throughout the day today. Winds as high as 30 knots in the outer coastal waters still possible early this morning before gradually easing. Inherited SCA for the coast looks good and remains in effect until 6 PM this early evening. While current forecast suggests speeds should remain just under criteria, isolated northerly winds in Puget Sound might encroach on SCA criteria. This will need to be monitored. A Small Craft Advisory for rough bar conditions at the Grays Harbor Bar also looks valid and will therefore go untouched. Seas subside tonight back into the 4 to 6 foot range later Thursday and Thursday night. 18 (Issued: 223 AM PDT Wed Apr 16 2025 by NOAA)

    How long have the little popups with stats and links been on here?  Day count since your last session, or a link to your windiest session ever (apparently Dec 23, 2010 for me, interesting read), most used bit of kit and other random things!  Its a fun addition!

      Downwinding as in either SUP paddling up onto foil, and going DW or using a Parawing to get up onto foil and going DW with chute packed away then redeploying and doing laps back UW. This is all focused around chasing bumps going DW, not mowing the lawn/freeriding.

    As per the latest update, the technician responsible for the Ballenas station is on leave. Trying to work on a solution to charge the station if coast guard unable to do so. The estimated time to get station back online is by end of April.

    The Ballenas weather station has been defunct for almost four months and is key for nautical safety in our strait.  Can someone please repair?  I was told by DFO it belongs to coastguard. Coastguard tells me it's Environments.

      That’s fantastic Ray!!  I was just thinking how all 3 local cams have been lost as well as Ballenas WX, hopefully the latter will be fixed soon
