Quick lunch hour session in the sunshine complete with a rainbow: felt like Spring foiling conditions! Slightly overpowered on the 4m/880 combo for the whole session. Some synchronized wave riding moments with BWD and Tweezer made me feel like one of the big kids. Made a few more gybes and failed a few more foot switches. The waves were better than expected!

Willows webcam looked like the sure thing for an afternoon sail. Gee and HRock were already into a second session on smaller wings. A bit up and down at first but enough to fly the 3.0 for most of it.
Choppy near Turkey Pt, reasonably organized by MTI with surf at the beach. Nice!

Finally had a fun session at Clover starting to get the hang of the SE waves but still my share of big crashes, riding with wing flagged in left hand feels awkward but practice and persistance has helped. Big crew out and even the sun came out to warm things up at the end.

Nolan kindly lent me his gear. So nice to be on the Omen rig again after riding the noodle Slingshot mast yesterday! Masts make all the difference in control. I could barely ride yesterday on the 93cm Phantasm. Love the Omen board and Duotone rig too. Dialled set up.

It all looked so nice and easy, but something was off and I just couldn't get it together. The most frustrating day I've ever had at Clover, could hardly put 2 reaches back to back, missed turns, fell on waves, struggled to get flying, struggled to even get on my board and start! GPS cut short after I went in and changed wings and foil but forgot to restart. Just as well, I'd prefer to forget this one.

Excited to get out there in manageable conditions. Nicely powered on the 3.5, until i had a weird fall close to shore and my foil got in between my wing and myself and put a huge hole in the leading edge and popped the bladder. Marvelous Monday after such a sucky weekend. Three sessions using 3 different wings as the wind kept amping up. 6m start with Lancer and Gee in intermittent winds that needed lots of pumping. Returned after a short rest with a sweet 5m session. Returned again with a 4m when Danno arrived and that 4m was a joy to handle. Sailed up to Cattle Point but it was a bit of a washing machine and windy so after one good crash and a bit to get up again I decided to head back into Caddy bay where the waves were a bit more lined up. Love how pleasant the 20-30 is here compared to 30-40. Good swell - loving the outside turns and swooping down the wave face. Felt like I did 100 of them today. Didn't fall until 28 minutes in. Good vibe on the water, but I've seen better.

Lighter but still waterstarts so figured 4.7/1300 was a sure thing. Maybe gusty, maybe I forgot how to? Same as yesterday, some runs, lame gybes but breaching still, gusts were up there tho, 17? Frustrated switched to longer fuse, tho 2000 goes with that. 10-15kn, no gusts. Worked pretty well, long controlled runs, highest foils Ive done, couple foiling & 1 mostly foiling gybe, 1st on this. :) Super tiring esp this uphauling BS :(

Thought I'd try outside at the spit- wind marginal but looked to be building- not!
Got out through the surf, got one run in, died.
Came in, spent the 30 minutes ( or so it always seems) pumping up the 6m, went into the fishbowl, got 1 run, died even more. Even the watch decided it wasn't worth it and stopped on it's own.

Missed the sunny 8 knot conditions that got a Wazp & and RS Aero out for a Sunday Sail. Always have too much to do. Would of been ok sailing on the 3rd beach side of the shipping channel, but short of daylight and the risk of having to paddle home I stayed close and avoided the strongish ebb tide flow that would of put me at Navy Jack in 10 minutes or less & needing 40 mins to return. Very rainy too.

Knew it was too windy but wanting to see if new foil position would solve all! Well, NOT today!! Overfoiling festival, water starting 4.7 & off I flew, off couple big rollers, pointing in-straps into the wind hard but even that didnt always help. Made only a couple butt ugly gybes :/ dont usually wish for less wind, left 4.2 behind 2 days running, idiot, lol, need a smaller foil

Was hoping to foil, kinda too windy & wavy, 1st world problem again lol. The 110/flat 5.3 ripped off the beach. A bit boring solo & mowing the lawn at times but hit a few rollers & some bar waves, bit slow on the wave but was okay! Sun helped too, lovely day!! Had a few more reaches after the foiled foil session. 2 wingers showed up for the fun

Saturday was so poor that any chance of a Sunday lift was well worth the effort. Despite the spotty lifts from Bobson and Morgan, I was pretty confident with my newly patched big 6.2m Mantis. But, just before heading into the flat water, my repair noisiy failed. Not catastrophic. Brought out my smaller 6m and hoped for the best. The best was a 30 sec flight and one foiling jibe. Should have gone winging as soon as I arrived but thought the wind was going to kick in. Waited around for an hour and when Dave arrived it started to fill in but not as much as I thought. Rigged the 4.7/80L and when I hit the water I started to regret my decisions of the day. I kept slogging out as the tide was low and thankfully it finally filled in. Upgrade! Started out on big gear (5.3/115) but got overpowered. Came in an rigged medium gear (4.5/92) to head out in a lull. Then it was just right! Smaller board is so much fun (when powered)! Fun ramps on the inside and some rolling swell that felt big and smooth on the edge of the second bank! Caught some and missed some teasers in the current and lulls. Water seemed warmer. MUCH better session (for me) compared to Wednesday!
