Got a chill shorty-suit session with Greg, Idefix, Poper, Paul and the elites. Occasionally OP'd on my big 6.2m Mantis, but rarely off foil. Got a couple of kelp takedowns, but not bad. Tried to follow the elites over to the Clover side but I chickened out and stayed on the bay side. Fun vibe in the sets and ashore. Back to China Creek around 4 pm and it was very windy until sunset, and beyond. Overpowered the whole time, even on a 3 m. Would be nice to try a 2.2, 2.6 m in such conditions. Wave direction and size were different across and up/down the inlet from launching beach. I did not get very far upwind in the inlet. Going to try to rig up my harness line on the XPS. Like to use the built in webbing loops, but my spectra line works handle-to-handle.

Arrived early for the promised winds and a prized parking spot. Scored a nice evening session in mild swell with just enough loose kelp to keep my attention. I followed BWD to Cook Street but didn't linger there too long with the wind dropping and sailed back to the safety of the bay.

Arrived to light wind and watched CB pump a big kite for his foil. I pumped my 14.5 Flite and expected to go out on the Tiki but as I got my wetsuit on, and all of my other accoutrements, the wind came up. Classic non gale, but still fun. Fairly flat at first so I headed upwind to play in some new kelp patches. The wind seemed to lighten up a bit but the swell got better on the outside and off the point. Loving the 880 with the light wind lift offs and crazy low stall speed.

On a short leash so crammed in a session between work and kid pick up. Super light when I arrived so made the decision to foil with a 10m. 10min after getting out through the kelp forest it built to about 20kts. I came in, dropped off the foil and grabbed a twin tip and spent another 15min enjoying the warm wind and the wave faces. In and out in about an hour and home in time for dinner.

Things on the RB webcam looked a bit bleak but the forecast was good so I decided to head down. Arrived to BWD, Windjunky, Danno and Ang praying to the wind gods -- they clearly knew what they were doing because minutes later the wind filled in. I rigged my 5.5m and was off. Super fun session with relatively flat conditions for RB, perfect for foot switch and gybe practice. Lots of fun passes -- the stoke was high!

This unforecast breath of warm summer breeze was best between beach and the light rock and held till 4pm. Easy planing downwind to Stephenson point but it took 6 tacks to get back as the outside wind was only 12 gusting 15.

Late session, wind was still good, great fun on my 10m NEO SLS. I was lucky, when I got in at about 7:30pm or so, when I hit the beach, the wind stopped. The kite just fell out of the sky, luckily my sister was there to catch it.
Awesome session, improving my jibs and toe side riding. Ready for the surfboard.

On my favourite setup (DW board, MA1000 and 4.0) headed up to the point. After 5 quick take downs headed back to 'mid-bay' where the swell was sweeet and fairly organized. Tried some fast toe side tacks and had plenty of good swell rides. Debrief with BWD and blessings from The Pope. Good times!

Arrived to see two swimming in and Shaggy swimming out, so started to mentally prepare for rigging the giant 4.5. By the time I chatted with RBlocal the wind had filled in enough for the 3.5, thank god. Fun small waves at first with light wind. Then the wind steadied and the swell got L on the outside. Great swell with the SW wind. Light at first but then it picked up so tried out the Omen Flux 48L. After each kelp takedown and falls struggled to get up. 48L is too small for me. Switched back to the Dragonfly and rigged down to 3.5 for some killer swell rides. Should have been on my smaller glider but didn't want to waste time and waves to come in again.

Good session. Plenty of power with my 5.5m and I kept thinking I should probably rig my 4m. The waves seemed to get quite a bit bigger by 630pm. More gybe practice and I tried to spend more time reaching down towards Hollywood Cres rather than staying upwind near Clover Pt. Felt a bit rusty since I haven't been getting out as much in July!

Early shift was marginal. I had to get out halfway to Trial Is to get on foil. Luckily, the winds increased. Great to share the swells with Greg in the early shift. Took a break after about an hour to switch gopro batteries and the winds died leaving the foilers with a long swim back. I was ready to call it a day but the winds returned and I went back out for another well powered hour with my smaller 6m with Paul and others.
