When RB shows just how flaky it really is in summer, it's best to keep the cussing to a minimum. Because it really was f*@#$ng painful at times. And yet, I still was able to get some great rides out of today. 3 out of 10 but a really solid 100% 3 out of 10 :) Oh yeah, try to avoid cemetery bay. Stealth kelp a many.

After eating lots, headed back out and upwind to find the really flat water. 50kms this morning on the Windfoil so figured I had to do at least that on the Wing. Played a little follow the leader with TnT and BennyD until Benny tried to ram me so stayed away from him for rest of the day. Sunny and really warm all day. Got to RB 6ish. RichardM was just coming in after an up and down session and said there was wind and some swell out there. Lifted at mid bay and got about half hour of swell play before it shut down. Good enough, after a big MTB session early this morning. Just 1 kelp takedown. Kelp increasing still. Hard to spot the veg in the setting sun. FoilDriveRob was also out cruising and occasionally crossing in wingers' blind spot. Hoping for better conditions on Monday.

Finally rigged a 10m race sail and still couldn't get close to our top Fireball & RS 400 Boats and generally not close to Austin our top notch Laser sailor. (Board is holding water) Attendance wasn't too great at 8 boats but lots of onshore spectators enjoyed the show. Finished 4th on corrected time missing the top 3 prizes by 3 seconds in one race to a new Coop RS Aero.

After moving bunch of stuff into the north island cabin & quick village excursion went mere steps to magnificent rumble beach launch to try the waning wind. A bit too late on it, near 6 and the 'safely OP' 5.3 shouldda been a 5.9
Too much work after a few runs, fun enough to try smaller gear here than my huge 7.0 slalom gear. Duckgybe success. Water cooler here but the IPA & sunset were amazing.didn't get to Van shower cuz locals kept showing up checking us out

Wind came in at 11 and really pumped up around 2pm, windiest day I have had at the lake this year so far. Took it a bit easier today with a nice long lunch break. Spent the last half hour in just board shorts which was fun. Home before 7 for dinner with the family. Great weekend and ready for a good sleep after a hot tub.

Ya, great sleep and easy morning here as wind doesn't usually start till a bit later. On the water before Noon and did 2.5hours and 50kms on the Windfoil with hardly anyone else out. Came in for lunch and decided to try the dark side for the afternoon. Met KB and Tracy this morning on the beach while stuffing my face with my breaky bowl, sorry. Also met Joost this morning, never know who you're going to meet here.

At Nexus - Feather Beach. Over an hour on the water really only meant 15minutes sail time. Several rig and fin issues and too small a board so I did jail tine thrashing around trying to uphaul and waterstart at the dead onshore beach and in the east harbour area. Would of taken Long Board into blind channel instead if I had it with me. Great day at the lake, wind was already going when we arrived at 11. Really love my new 55L Roberts board, great on releasing and on any touch downs. Rode the 4m and 775 for the first 2.5 hours and hit my daily goal of going over 40kmh one the first speed run I tried, amazing how fast the small wing and 325 stab is. Fun day with Machine, finished up with a rinse in the river and dinner cooked on the gas fireplace due to forgetting the stove at home. Gotta get Machine starting logs!

Arrived to CC late after stopping for n Parksville to say Hi to best friend then in Comox to say Hi to my daughter. Arrived at 4:30pm, set up camp them hit the water quick before 2 burger dinner with delicious red wine. Had a glass of wine at WindRider and chatted with SandyB, W247 and Pauly and Louisa (both need nick names). Slept for 10 hours . Sweet!!

A sort of fun day at Clover, with the wind up and down. I pumped my biggest kite and took my biggest board (my Tiki) and thought it was going to be great because I had lots of power to start. Never a good sign when you're arriving just as Danno, Tugboat, and NewGrant are leaving with not much positive to pass on. But, I needed a quick foil hit, I'm a bit delusional, and Danno said I could do it. Happily, he was right. I got lift just as I was leaving the bay and I got a few worked runs. Light on the inside but good wind and swells on the outside. Still trying to figure out the new foil fast off the wind and on waves, think I'm going to move the mast up and maybe another shim. Headed in to pump up the 3.0, but once I was in decided to call it! Great week of wind and waves!

Early sesh with Lancer, Danno, and Gee did not start well as Lancer came back in due to low wind. Rigged big foil and 6m and took the shot. Lucky to catch a gust that got me up and help get out firther to the wind line. Just enough out by Clover with confused swell. Actually seemed to drop further out. Played in the wind patch with the OGs and nearly took some of them out. Really warm, and much less kelp and crap. Clover windhole was quite pronounced yet some of the biggest swells were there.

Tried to go out when I got there as everyone was out foiling but just as I hit the water it died off, floated around a bit with BWD hoping it would pick back up. Paddled back in and waited with the crew on the beach. ( forgot my bigger foil at home) Finally there seamed to be enough although it was a long haul out to the windline. Wind picked up and made some nice swell and jump ramps.

Sat on the beach with my son Jesse at L. listening to an amazing guy playing acoustic guitar and singing and just taking it all in post surf. The wind was building but I was pooched from morning surf. Then jesse started slaying some beauty south swell action and I couldn't stand it any longer. Rigged and got a few smacks but should have gone out an hour earlier.
