On the water at 11am with KC7-R on the foil as well. 20kts but still hanging onto my 5.2m Flyer as there were still some holes. Then before Noon it ramped up to 25-30kts and 4-5 Wings came out and a couple kites. Last day at the lake and had sailed lots so put in 40+ kms and then when the 3.9m was well over powered I decided to call it. Colder today with fog on the outside. Showed up at 6:45 and it looked a little slow, nobody flying around. Chilled with Archie on the beach and it picked up finally. Challenging conditions at first, and then a tide line fully moved in. Felt like a whole second session as everybody left and I moved further down into the bay and had a great couple tacks with RupDogg and WindDoc. Last off the water tonight. Hopefully more tomorrow.

1st reach flying 3/4 mast & getting a bit nervous how easy it seemed, didn't expect that...overpowered obviously ...sheeted almost fully out a LOT, so decided I better turn around as I hit gusts ..so hey, just jump off? Replay of the other day, 5.3/110 was good, couldda used the 94 for a bit but thought better of it. Nice n quiet. Amazing weather
Spent morning lazing about, rigging all my kites, checking all the boards, hardware, lines and even tested the harness out on the WS gear. Ready! And no ride to get to a launch upwind :( maybe next week.

I agree with Clive, the wind was all over the place and the sea was big and weird for the "meh" kind of wind on offer. I was the first to arrive and self launched and it felt decent on the point. I dragged out past the miso soup on offer at the reef and the wind was just not there for me. I immediately came in self-landed and grumped to myself about the wind. The wind was all over the place, the seas were confused, large and moving surprisingly fast. Lots of current despite the it was supposed to slack water. The Ross Bay side of clover looked good for foil surfing. Definitely one of the most challenging foil days in a while. Wind died completely at one point and my kite ended up in the water but I was able to wait it out and relaunch. Lots of debris as well.

Such an amazing day!! Dry windy and wavey in the afternoon. Did 132kms today and finally learned how to ride the waves. KC7-R getting good at his wind foiling and even practiced his Winging today oh ya, and windsurfing too!! Sunny and warm all day. Wind started at 10am at 15 kts and within 20 mins cranked up to 20+. This was day 8. One more day to go then home for 5 and then back up here for a long weekend. More peeps are showing up. 6 or 7 kites, 34 Wingers and me. Ha!

Wind line coming down the lake at 10:30. 105+ kms today. On the water with KC7-R at 11am. Tried all my gear today, lots of good testing with the 95cm fuse and all my stabs. 255, 330 and the 500. KC ripping on his new Goya 115z thanks Jesse!! Almost 4 hours and toured almost the entire lake top to bottom! Perfect 20kts and sunny and warm all day. 3/2 sleeveless wetsuit. Getting a good tan. 2 more days to go in paradise.

Started out at 11am in 20kts on the 5.2m and did 50kms. KC7-R showed up and we sailed and chatted the rest of the afternoon. I switched between the big board and 1100/255 and the small board and Super Cruiser 1700/330. Fell in 4 or 5 times, yuck! Could have done another 50kms but decided Corona's on the beach. It blew 15-20 till 7:30pm. Steak and potatoes for dinner and still lots of bugs! A few more peeps in the canpground now, maybe 10 all together. Started at 11 and sailed through till 5pm. So steady today. Basically 20 kts all day. 115kms today and only 1 other kite on the water. Sunny and waters getting warmer. 3/2 sleeveless suit. This is day 5 and I'm running out of food and bike but hopefully KC7-Renegade is coming with a resupply truck. Much better. Long Beach classic ' sun, workable wind, some big wholes, fun-sized waves! Two washings from the brink of the outside due to uber light wind in the impact zone. Shaggy rescued Tsawwassen following a bladder rupture in his wing. Five for five wavesailing (sessions/days).

Two in a row! This day was forecast to be the nuker but was only just wingable for me. Still good sized sets rolling through. I dislike my 5.0 so switched to 4.0 when it picked up a bit but then it backed off. Super light but strong enough puffs to get me up so stayed with 4.0 and milked it till it died. Great to hang with the wind crew. Like The Dirty Mermaid said the chances of getting blown on the May long weekend in Tofino are good and Shaggy agrees.

Typical slog and ride Long Beach windsurfing. Got denied a few times trying to get out, actually much harder to get out windsurfing than winging but my slog and ride technique sucks! Once outside I couldn't even jibe and trying to pump and catch a wave was a struggle. Should have winged, had way more fun the previous 2 days winging.
