Ouch! Forgot how gnarly IV can be. Very gusty up/down. Made it past shorebreak easily, but fell past the bar and had trouble going - overpowered WS. Got part way round a jibe and catapaulted head-first downwind, glancing the booms off my ribs on the way. Another 10 minutes getting started. Sail back close hauled, still short WoShame. Shoulda gone out on the 5.8 after it dropped a bit, too lazy. Lent my sails to young friend of Joel's who was over-geared. Saw Joel get some HUGE air way downwind near IR. Nice to see some young guys windsurfing.
