I lived in Prince Rupert for 13 years and if you're going to be sailing there, head to the beaches by the grain terminal. They are the best on all wind directions except for easterlies. However, in Prince Rupert you'll very seldom see easterlies. Also, be sure to check tide charts because the tides ...

If you'd like to have a look at some pictures and a video of the Hellfish when it was here last weekend, One of the local riders has posted some on his webpage: http://www.nelmes.org.uk/Hellfish/index.htm You can get a real look at the size of the struts and leading edge. If you have been to KiteBea...

Hey Alex, Winds were about 12 knots gusting up to 17. The kite flies deep in the wind window and even with a 15m it was much too fast for a beginner. Once kiters have good kite control they will enjoy this kite but until then it will make the learning process hard. It'd be like giving a student a tr...

Just Finished testing the 15m Hellfish!!! We had 1 hellfish here in Cabarete this weekend available for testing. I am going to repeat again that I have never been a Best rider because when you hear what I have to say, you'll believe that I am biased. The kite is simply amazing. -Turns faster than a...

For another interesting note, I had dinner with Kim Tropf last night (Best distributor for the Dominican Republic). He says that Best has made an exclusive deal to attain Cuben Fiber. Therefore, if other companies decide to come up with something similar, they will have to go elsewhere (perhaps, lik...

New Hellfish Kite
I know that down here in Cabarete, we will be getting these kites in 5 weeks time. I'm assuming that people can have them in Canada just as soon if they order them.

New Hellfish Kite
Another Tidbit that I forgot to mention:
If, within 30 days, you don't like the kite for any reason, Best will fully refund your money and give you an extra $100 US.
Now that has got to be a good product.

New Hellfish Kite
Just wanted to fill riders in on a new kite that Best has started producing. The kite is made of Cuben Fiber which, for discussion purposes, is like an aluminum kite. It is actually the material used by NASA to protect the exterior of Space Satelites. These kites are 100% UV resistent, stretch-proof...

Sorry to bust your bubble Leah but I have a hard time believing that a community the size of Duncan can support such an endeavour. Look at the other communities around the world that have Floriders (ie. Moscow, Cinccinati, San Dieago, San Antonio, Dublin, etc.). These are cities with millions of peo...
