Hey Law, not sure if you got my text yesterday about winchester bay as a surf/sup spot. Not far south of florence, and in my opinion its superior. Turn off at winchester bay and follow the road through a lame 4x4 campground toward the south jetty. A little farther south than the jetty there is a parking lot with outhouses. I usually surf basically straight out or slightly closer tp the jetty from there.

Only caveat is south winds ruin it. But I guess that's true for florence as well.

Moo-turn left off 101 at the big right hand turn after the sea lion caves then drive 3 miles uphill. We're heading to see if we can find the Law at the jetty. Not sure if we'll stay here or head to gold beach tonite.

Just checking weather and surf report, windfinder showing less than good conditions for south coast, pressure map looking so-so, what's the scoop from locals (i.e. - you Vi folks already around?)

Heading out tomorrow first thing in am (6:15 am ferry from PA) if it's going to be OK - planning to stay until Friday pm.

Heading down on the 1030 coho today.
Not sure weather we will head to H river or points south.
Think I'll need training wheels after the long sailing drought

Nice shots! If The Boss ever needs an actor to play him in a windsurfing movie, Jeff Bridges will be the go-to guy! (#1051). Keep em coming!

great you can find the time to take photos.....and have a decent camera   unlike me but....why would you do your session logs on a mostly ontario site instead of BWD or the windsurfer site :?:
Hope the wind picks up again today for you guys tho some of the crew seem to get even more of a kick from SUP-ing these days 8) Cold and mega rains here last nite should be of some comfort to you being in the right place
