Waist harness
Waist harness
So, keeping with this wave thing being a recurring theme, the seat harness just doesn't cut it for mobility/stance/ dragging my ass over the wave tops and I'm ready to spend more dough and finally get a waist one.
Any great
1) pointers on how to adjust your stance, lines, sailing so ya don't blow through your gear at first; can ya keep the lines the same and raise the boom being more upright? tho I'm jpretty much maxing on boom height now...
2) which one to get? The DaK XT seat is the only one that has stood up to my numerous catapults /bails over the years due to its over-stitching and load spread layout, when my 210+ start moving it's tough to not break something
thx a bunch. Kus

Hey dood, you've seen my Prolimit team Wave. I like it a lot! Good fit, lot's of space for adjustment, very good quick release system ( not like we need it around here, but... )
As about stance and lines. I found, that I can use the same lines, and the boom hight didn't change much either.
Next time we are out I'll give you to try my harness. For me the difference was instantly noticeable, that leaded to the question : "Why the heck I didn't switch to waist harness earlier?"

You should also try a Dakine waist Harness. You might wanna make sure that the harness provide a great deal of back support (Double velcro belt). Of course an upright position is key in wave riding so you should go at least a size smaller on your Harness line to get that upright position and leave your boom sholder high. It will take you a couple session to get use to it but it's worth it.
See you on the water!!!
