Looking for an opinion...

How many weeks do I need to make driving down to make La Ventana worth it?
Don't forget to bring a towel!

Nanmoo, one month would make the drive worthwhile.

When are you thinking of heading down there?

We're driving down end of Dec. Staying for 2.5 weeks and driving back. Long haul but who doesn't love a roadtrip 8)

I'd have to add that the cheaper your fuel cost is obviously it doesn't hurt so much to stay for a shorter period. I've always loved the adventure of driving down and exploring other spots but with a big gas guzzling V8 we absolutely have to stay for at least a month to make it feel like it's worth the expense. Also considering past experience having gone as much as a week or more without wind cuts into the enjoyment factor but with enough other interests and toys on board thats not an issue. We're aiming for a mid Dec departure but still not sure of actual departure or return dates.
Why aren't YOU out there?
