WMII Victoria Premiere @ The Canoe Club

Sunday September 19, 2010 @ 8 PM

WMI will play before the premiere.

Official announcement to follow once details are concrete.

Still working with Sandy and Rob to hopefully do an WWW show as well.

Due to the Salmon Fest in Port Alberni on the Labour Day weekend, we are changing the movie event date to the following Saturday, Sept.11th to give everyone more room to play on the Alberni inlet.

Please let us know if you require accomodation...see previous message for more details.

Stoke is a'brewing for the Sat.Sept.11th windsurfing, kiteboarding event in Port Alberni at Wild West Watersports www.wildwestwatersports.com

-A huge thanks to Kayakdoc for the offer of a kiting movie to show, along with the supportive equipment. Wonderful!

-Also, Kevin and Mark from Windsurfing Parksville have offered to bring some long boards to demo and get people out on the water.

-Since we have a grassy rigging area now, it's good timing for an 'end of season' informal gear swap.

BTW, our bootiless feet thank-you, Mike, for all that mill felt for the pier. Awesome.

The Port Alberni fall fair (one of the biggest fairs on the island) is happening that weekend and will be a great reason to bring family members along for the ride.

Thanks for everyone's interest and enthusiasm. Should be a fun weekend!

Mark and I will be there with a van and trailer load of gear. Including a tandem board. If we can set up some marks lets have some fun on who (pair) can get the tandem around the course the quickest.

Wind has been ordered for Saturday, Sept.11th and the long range forecast is bang on for seasonally warm temperatures.

I just recieved the package with the DVD in it today... so the big question is: DO I Watch it tonight by myself - you know, quality control, make sure the goods are ok - OR DO I wait until the premiere!!!

Ok so I watched it tonight;

Pretty damn wicked. The Gorge section almost made me go out and buy some sailworks huckers, CRAZY airtime. AWESOME.
