Amazing! That was what we were hoping for the last few sessions. Nicely powered on the 10 with some clean little kickers rolling into the bay. Helped a fellow sailor with their float to shore before a few final jumps and calling it.

Great session. On my 5.5m the whole time, and only overpowered towards the last 30 min but too lazy to switch to my 4m. Lots of fun passes with GregCan, Dan and Ang. Practiced gybes a bunch with some progress made. Stoked to run into the LEGEND Gdawg on the beach, whom I have known since I was just a wee Pope. I remember watching him windsurfing in the 80s/90s (!) with wonder and amazement. Improved my speeds a bit as I attempt to climb out of the bottom rungs of the BWD leaderboard!

Well, THAT was interesting!
Moderate NW, so not able to do home beach, so decided to try a new ( to me) spot - Singing Sands.
Actually nice spot, with a slightly cross swell launch area - the main problem, as i happened to discover, is the ferry actually has to do a dogleg right near the beach- and i realized this just i dropped off the foil when the wind died:-( and saw said ferry approaching- luckily though, with a bit of vigorous pumping, was well clear by the time it arrived.

After work RB wing session. Good to see a super keen Pope who was leaving as I was arriving. Big wind shadow so I went out on 5.0 but immediately came in for 4.0. Had a great time riding swells, mostly on port tack with some fun switch riding and back again. Much more success gybing today than any day so far. Probably made 5 regular foot, 1 goofy including one foiling. Shoulders and hands are sore.

Got on the water about 12:30ish, already quite a few wingers and windfoils. Sunny, fun, weekend weather. About 30ish wingers on the water at one point with a swack of gear on the beach! All the usual participants with the exception of the website host and wingDr (what did they know?). Had a couple looong swell rides from point to corner! A grand day out followed by exotic Italian apres surf beers on the beach, thanks Tweez!

Another amazing day. Just refining toe side rides through swell. Patchy conditions but enough to stay interested. A few good rollers. Lot's of riders! Had to stay focused on my surroundings. Helped a buddy test an MFC foil rig. Heel side tack is the next challenge. Good times all around. Feeling grateful.

So many wings, yet there was still so much room for play. Great vibe in the sets - very unlike the territorial shite of a typical surfing set. Session 1 was better powered and my 5m was the right tool. Swell was med sized but still fun. Session 2 needed my 6m as the winds reduced. Still good if not a bit gusty. I practiced many jibes in the tougher swells to get used to that level of turbulence. Kinda fun! I made it off before the winds shut down and enjoyed some of Danno's bevy generosity.

Had Nitinaht booked but it wasn't looking good so decided to take my buddy who is visiting from Vancouver down to Ross Bay. First there just before 9 with good breeze and sunny skies we quickly finished our breakfast and rigged up. Had the first half hour to ourselves before Bobson and other's started to show up, eventually the waves got a bit better and it got busy. Had some fun runs down the bay. Good to see everyone and nice to have a day when I had no where else to be.

What a great day! Sun and wind. Loads of wingers and three windsurfers and loads of women out foiling. Richard M lent me his KT ginxu Dragonfly to try. I loved it! Less wobble than I expected and soooo smmmmooooth acceleration and liftoff. Tempted to try and gybe it but dropped in and restarted to come back. Sore neck from a little whiplash and a sore knee and sore hands from the handles on a long session. More tomorrow please!

OK, that was a pretty freakin' great session!! Arrived early, 11am to some guy in a truck that I'm pretty sure doesn't log his sessions on BWD so guessing he wasn't really there..?? Then "The Pope" rode in on his Man-Bike so we all said a quick prayer and rigged up!! Two Wings out, Fray-Fray was one and the other, I"m not sure. Hoped for enough wind to use 10m and twin tip but was underpowered so parked it all and changed to 8m and foil. Much better. Lots of stuff in the water to collect with a foil including giant jelly fish. Unbelievable number of wingers in Ross Bay-like a swarm of mosquitoes. Hope everyone was able to find some space.

Fantastic Saturday RB session in the sunshine. First 20km+ session! The wind was a little light but pretty steady. First 30 min on my 4m then switched to my 5.5m. Added a few more (semi) successful foiling gybes to my resume. I'm trying to go into my gybes with more confidence -- like it ain't no thang -- and that seems to be helping a bit. By the time I wrapped up there was a big crowd and great vibe on the beach.

Great big session in medium to good wind. Nice waves coming in at mile 0. Fought the current for a bit and won. Loads of cruise ship people watching, made it more fun.
Following day I was going to launch, but ended up checking on a kite in obvious distress waaaaaay out in the strait, which turned out to be a jetski assisted kite lesson ('!) in the worst spot i can think of. Lots of backlash online about it already, hopefully this practice doesn't continue.

Some other outdoor activities meant i was late to the party- ie wind was dying.
Got out with low expectations but turned out surprisingly good.
Wind was marginal, and my gybes were shit so if ( when) i dropped off foil it was a bit of a struggle to get back up, but was still fun.
